Plain English summary
We collect only what we need to do our work. We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything beyond what's described below. If you contact us through our website, use our ticketing platform, or vote through our e-voting system, the data you provide stays with us and is used only for the purpose you provided it for.
The full policy is below. It's written to be readable, not to bury anything.
01
Who we are.
InflurixWeb is a web engineering company. We build custom websites, web applications, and SaaS platforms — including an event ticketing engine and an e-voting platform used by universities and organisations across Ghana.
When this policy refers to "InflurixWeb", "we", "us", or "our", it means InflurixWeb and any platforms we own and operate. When it refers to "you", it means any person who uses our website, contacts us, or uses one of our platforms.
Questions about this policy can be sent to info@influrixweb.com.
02
What data we collect and why.
We collect data in three contexts. Here's what each involves:
When you contact us through our website
- Your name and email address — so we can reply to you
- Your message and the project type you selected — so we understand what you're enquiring about
- We don't store contact form submissions in a database. They're delivered to our email inbox and kept only as long as the conversation is relevant.
When you purchase a ticket through our ticketing platform
- Your name and phone number — required to deliver your ticket via SMS
- Your email address — for order confirmation and receipts
- Payment details — processed entirely by Paystack. We never see or store your card number or Mobile Money PIN. Paystack's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
- Your QR ticket and purchase record are stored so you can be validated at the gate and so the event organiser can reconcile attendance.
When you vote through our e-voting platform
- Your student or member ID — used to authenticate you and prevent duplicate voting
- The fact that you voted — recorded to enforce the one-person-one-vote rule. Your actual ballot choice is stored separately and cannot be linked back to your identity after it is cast.
- A timestamp of when your vote was submitted — part of the audit log.
03
What we don't do with your data.
- We do not sell your personal data to any third party — ever, under any circumstances
- We do not share your data with advertisers or use it for ad targeting
- We do not send you marketing emails unless you have explicitly asked us to
- We do not use your data for any purpose other than what's described in this policy
- We do not transfer your data outside Ghana except where a specific service requires it — and only to providers operating under adequate data protection standards
04
Third-party services we use.
Running a web platform requires working with third-party services for specific functions. Here's what we use and why:
- Paystack — payment processing for ticket purchases. Paystack handles all card and Mobile Money transactions. Your payment data goes directly to Paystack and is governed by their privacy policy at paystack.com/privacy.
- Twilio / SMS gateway — delivery of QR ticket codes to your phone number. Your phone number is passed to the SMS provider solely to deliver your ticket.
- AWS / DigitalOcean — cloud hosting for our platforms. Your data is stored on servers in secure data centres. We do not use these providers for analytics or advertising.
- Google Fonts — our websites load fonts from Google's CDN. This involves a request to Google's servers when you visit the site. No personal data beyond your IP address is involved in this request.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other behavioural tracking or advertising technology on our websites.
05
Cookies.
The InflurixWeb marketing website (influrixweb.com) does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. It is a static HTML site with no login system and no tracking scripts.
Our platforms — the ticketing engine and e-voting system — use session cookies to keep you logged in while you use the platform. These cookies are deleted when you close your browser or log out. They contain no personally identifiable information beyond a session token.
We do not use persistent tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies on any of our platforms.
06
How long we keep your data.
- Contact enquiries — kept as email correspondence for as long as the business relationship is active, then deleted on request or after two years of inactivity
- Ticket purchase records — retained for 12 months after the event date for financial record-keeping, then deleted
- E-voting records — the authentication log (who voted) is retained for 90 days after the election closes, then deleted. The sealed vote tally is retained as long as the organising institution requires it.
- Server logs — automatically deleted after 30 days
07
Your rights under law.
Under Data Protection Act, you have the right to:
- Know what personal data we hold about you
- Request a copy of your personal data
- Request that we correct inaccurate data
- Request that we delete your data, where we have no legal obligation to retain it
- Withdraw consent for processing where consent is the basis for processing
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@influrixweb.com with your request. We will respond within 14 business days.
08
How we protect your data.
All data transmitted between your browser and our platforms is encrypted via HTTPS. Our databases are not publicly accessible and sit behind private network configurations on our hosting infrastructure. Access to production databases is restricted to named team members and requires authentication.
Payment data is never stored on our servers. All card and Mobile Money transactions are handled end-to-end by Paystack on their PCI-compliant infrastructure.
We take security seriously — not because we have to say that, but because we built these platforms ourselves and we're the ones who'd have to deal with a breach. Nightly encrypted backups, access logging, and dependency monitoring are standard on every platform we run.
09
Changes to this policy.
If we make material changes to this policy — meaning changes that affect what data we collect or how we use it — we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users of affected platforms directly.
We won't quietly change what we do with your data and hope you don't notice. That's not how we operate.
Questions or requests
Something not covered here?
If you have a question about how we handle your data that isn't answered in this policy, or if you want to exercise any of your rights, email us directly. You'll get a response from a person, not an automated system.
